How to Manage Stress

Living in a fast pace is the feature of modern society. This type of lifestyle makes people pursuit efficiency. Simultaneously, people need to endure more stress with the process of pursuing efficiency. Although certain stress can help us grow, the excess of stress will be harmful to our body. To avoid excessive stress, we need to learn stress management. There are five steps to help us manage our stress.

At the beginning, we need to find out what stimulates us. In other words, we need to know the source of our stress. Without figuring out how they appear, we can not start dealing with our pressure. For example, the stress of a student is tests. However, the source of his stress might come from his mother. If he failed in the test, his mother would be angry. Thus, the real problem is that the student is afraid of the anger of his mom. Therefore, realizing the source of our stress is important for us to think about how to solve it.

Subsequently, we can write down our stress in a list and divide it into two parts.

One can be solved, and the other can’t. For most of

people, they spent much time worrying about

certain stress that they can’t control it. For

instance, the superintendent asks you to revise

your plan which you spare no efforts to finish it.

Due to this situation, you will feel upset and

helpless. However, you can not change your

superintendent’s mind. What you can do is try your best and change your mind. On the other hand, we need to think about what we can solve. Making a feasible plan is the way to cope with the stress. Writing down our stress in a list, it will help us control them.

In addition, we have to think in positive ways. If we regard our stress as the threat, we will lose the confidence to confront it. When falling into the negative emotion, we need to stop thinking of any solutions to control our stress. Once we give up to control our stress, the accumulative stress will harm us someday. Consequently, we should try to face our stress positively. If we keep positive mind, we will gain the strength to control our stress.

After changing our thoughts into positive, we also have to

look for the supporters. Trying to reveal the stress to our

close friends or family is significant. Although we can

endure the stress alone, close friends or family can still help

us manage the stress more confidently. Having the

supporters can not only relieve our feelings but also provide

us suggestions or assist us from different angles.

Finally, we have to plan the free time to release our stress.

Living with stress for a long time will cause tiredness. To

alleviate accumulative tiredness, we can use a complete free

time to relax ourselves. During the time, we don’t need to

worry about our assignment. On the other hand, we should

concentrate on relaxation, such as meditation. In addition,

cultivating the regular habit of playing sports is also a good way to release stress. Thus, arranging a relaxing time can help us relieve our stress.

Stress management is an essential lesson that we have to learn. At first, we need to realize the source of our stress. With realizing the problem, we can think of an efficient solution. Subsequently, writing down our stress on the list and divide it into two parts. It is imperative to know what we can control. After ensuring which stress can be dealt with, we should keep positive thoughts. Having the positive thoughts can give us the strength to confront the stress. Next, we also need some believable friends or family who can listen to our annoyance. Their company and opinion can become our confidence to face the stress. Lastly, we have to arrange free time to release our stress. Through proper relaxation, we can relieve our burden of stress actually. Although we can’t escape from the stress, we can learn to manage it from these steps.
