The most interesting movie I want to see recently

 

    Onward is an urban fantasy-adventure film, which is produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. In fact, it was released in the United States on March 6. However, the premiere of Onward in Taiwan delayed to May 22 due to covid-19. According to the information from the Internet, it has

received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed

$103.2 million worldwide. This film describes two elf

brothers who want to find an artifact that can bring back

their deceased father.  

 

 

 

 

Plot

    In a world which is inhabited by mythical creatures and

full of magic, two elf brothers, Ian and Barley, live in the

city of New Mushroomton. Ian is a student who lacks

self-confidence in high school, and Barley is an enthusiastic history and RPG fanatic who tends to be very impulsive. Before Ian was born, their father Wilden died of a severe illness shortly.

 

    On Ian's sixteenth birthday, their mother Laurel gives the brothers a gift from Wilden: a rare Phoenix Gem, which can resurrect their father for a single day. Accidentally, Ian succeeds in casting the spell, but only the lower half of Wilden's body is reformed before the gem disintegrates. Thus, the brothers decide to acquire another Phoenix Gem and complete the spell. Subsequently, they embark on an adventurous journey.

 

    After experiencing lots of challenges and

adventures, they resurrect their father successfully

with the Phoenix Gem and defeat the artificial

dragon finally. The brothers also bid farewell to their father. After Wilden disappears, Barley tells Ian that their father is proud of him, and they embrace each other.

In fact, Onward was inspired by the death of Scanlon's father (the producer’s father), and the relationship between Scanlon and his brother in their young age. After hearing an audio clip of his father, he decided to write this story. For me, the animated film created by Pixar is not only an interesting movie for children but always deliver a lot of meaning for adult. In this film, it describes the relationship between siblings through funny story. In addition, we can understand that it is important to cherish those people who are around and support us. That is an important reason why I want to see this film. Meanwhile, I also recommend this film for you. Maybe you can give it a try if you go to the cinema next time.
